Can any one let me know whom to approach for getting the permission to drill the borewell ?

Thanks,
Babu

Hi babu,
I am listen for the first time that you need permission to drill bore in your site. There is no need to shut down power for borewell drilling.
You might have to inform neighbors about drill to avoid any inconvenience to them, other than that you are not required to take any govt permission for residential borewell

Re: Permission to drill borewell
Thanks Praveen for the information.
There are powerlines in front of the house and there will be some temporary arrangement needs to be made to let the lines go on the ground using an alternative power cable by the BESCOM members. So, looks like there will be temporary disconnect in the power supply for sometime till the arrangement is made.
On the other hand, if I choose the option of hand borwell and the rig model then I can avoid knocking the doors of BESCOM.
Thanks,
Babu
