Hi,
Making a black listed contractors, architects, workers, builders is a good way but any one writing negative or positive about them please make sure you write in detail about your experiences .
Making generalized statements, showing your anger, not happy with quoted rates etc doesn't disqualify a person. So please be clear and detailed about your explanations like "chandu"

Well said Admin!
Writing negative comment out of anger or frustration will not benefit anyone, readers will see through it and also it will be one sided argument and not fair on contractor/architect/engineer
If we are really interested in educating/informing others on our experience it has to be details comment. This will not only helps the readers but will also achieve your goal of impacting the contractor positively or negatively the way you wish.

Hi,
It would be very helpful if we can also mention the names of contractors/architects/engineers with whom we had satisfactory experience. This would really help new people looking at house construction. Also, pitfalls to avoid in the construction process.

Would like folks to please notice that we are here to help everyone else so that they do not fall into the issues we faced. We are here to help everyone else. I hope we all understand that. I have been writing in mybdasites with regards to my experience in various issues and many folks have called me and I have been able to guide them, whereever I can. Folks in this forum have helped me and I would like to carry on with that.

The reason why I have not mentioned the architects name is because they are experience cheats. They have lawyers who also back them. So they have a nexus. There may be chances that we post their names and be slapped with a lawyer notice. So not only me, anyone else naming the blacklisted folks may get into trouble.

My suggestion. It would be better that you provide your name, the area where the contractor/architect operates and your experience in this forum. Please be open to be PM'ed or mailed from folks who may seek your help. When they PM or mail you, please respond, or provide your contact number so that you pass on the word. Seeing my post here, one or 2 of the folks have called me and I have given them the details.

The area where the architect duo(husband and wife) who cheated me and others and still doing it have their office in Uttarhalli/Padmanabhanagar. Trust me it is not our of frustration I am writing but do not want other to get cheated. My next post will let you know the experience I had. Anyone who is planning to go with this architect, please contact me, I can put you onto others also who have similar experience with them

Good Initiative.

Also, can admin provide a finalized checklist on how to deal with Contractors and Engineers.
It would be a nice and informative article on how to deal with these guys.

Can we also have good list of contractors, pros and cons of them on a thread?

I see Praveen, who is active in this forum is rated as good. Hope such folks join this forum to enrich the knowledge.
I always look at my contractor/engineer to listen to me and suggest and not to push his ideas.
It is my home and my ideas should be implemented from A to Z.

Venky
