I am getting steel doors with teak finish & embossed design from Arishtha Security Prod. I found this after a long & painful search . They have an office in Blr too. (http://arishtha.in) Have a look.

Hi santro & sahu,

I have visited them. The office is in palace guttahalli (moved recently from Ganganagar, so still being setup). I liked the embossed door & the specs. I am buying ~ 7doors. It is 50% cheaper than class-1 teak. (about 18-20k for main door) & 12-15k for other doors. So far the service is also quite professional.

Also, we can install just 1 steel door & not 1 steel (ugly welded) and wood door losing money & space.

Whoever goes for steel door should plan for it early in the construction. Going for both frame and shutter is better solution than shutter alone. I had to drop steel shutter because I had a teak wood frame already.

I was thinking of using steel windows until one of the contractor showed me a few windows that were placed in house like 2 to 5 years back.

it was all rusted and ugly , even those in well built houses using steel frames made in reasonably good company , so my advice is before jumping into it just look at a few houses and then decide.we all have looked at houses using wood frames for more than 100's years and not many issues but steel frames for windows ...... please rethink and look at examples let me know.

I am not saying in all cases but looking at the examples i felt , god not in my case.

Thanks Ausraj... you are right its better to go with wood or UPVC ..im ruling out that as an option it would be like penny wise pound foolish
