If anyone is looking for Digital Ceramic tiles, then go to Bell(Orient) - Thanisandra Road - all designs we saw were less than 60 per sqft. Virtified Nano were around 70/- and double charge vitrified were 80/-
They do not do Digital on Vitrified, instead they do it on Ceramic, which also looks great, except for the edges which is not sharp like vitrified. I felt it is value for money if one is ok with ceramic. I am going for wall tiles, as ceramic is good enough.

I had a terrible experience with Simpolo tiles. The wood polish(melamine) fell on the tiles. I believe this is fairly normal. When this polish was scraped off , a layer of the tile came of.

Vitrified double charge - any advantages

confused between vitrified tiles / vitrified double charge. Some dealers say there is an advantage in vitrified double .i.e. life will be more, color wont fade etc.
some dealers say nothing much different, all product marketings only ....no advantage..

Someelse in the forum also had the same problem, so I am also posting it. I have excess Somany Cabrio White 10 boxes with me. This is double charged, nano technology, 80cm X 80 cm tile. each box has 3 tiles (around 20.66 sqft per box). I paid Rs:81 per sqft which was the best price I could get in the city. If anyone is interested in buying this let me know.

Hi,

I am sorry this one is off topic query. I am basically struggling to get a answer from query with regards to total cost of laying a 1 sqft of tile.

I was wondering if you would be kind enough to provide me the detail of the cost incurred by you during the laying of your vetrified tiles since you have gone through that process recently.

What i am look for is a per sq feet break up of the cost involved in laying a vitrified tile or for that matter even granite in case you used that.
I would be great if you could provide me a break as below -
Cost of Cement for per sq ft of laying tile -
Cost of Fine Sand for per sq ft of laying tile -
Cost of Brick Blast for per sq ft of laying tile -
Cost of Coarse Sand for per sq ft of laying tile -
Cost of White Cement for per sq ft of laying tile -
Cost of Cement for Base course for per sq ft of laying tile -
Cost of Acid Wash and Polish for per sq ft or laying tile (if required) -
Cost of Labour for per sq ft of laying tile - Rs 15-25 (This i am aware)
Cost of a Vitrified tile per sq ft - Rs 60-90 (As per current market rates)

If you cannot recall the actual break up just a total cost (Labour + non-tile related expenses (white cement, grout etc)) would be sufficient.

I have been give a quote of Rs 125 Per Sqft for laying 2 ft x 2 ft vitrified tile (Tile price not included). Following is the work listed as part of the price -

Providing and laying to pattern, 10mm Thick Vitrified tile of 600x600mm size, approved shade, pattern with 20-40mm thick cement mortar bed of 1:4 mix including pointing with matching color pigment cement, acid washing and complete
