Is it better to construct the attached bathrooms in first floor of a duplex house by rising the floor by 4-5 inches to run the pipes below?
or the regular sunken type bathrooms with the floor level same as that of the bedrooms has advantages?
As per the floorplan, the attached bathrooms in the first floor are above the living room of the ground floor.

Hi Rashmi
There is no harm technically raising the toilet floor by 6" to run the pipes. In fact if you observe all the commercial building toilets are done same way to avoid structural complications.
Aesthetically you will see your door frames also 6" above the floor .Try to match the height of the bathroom floor exactly to the skirting height so that finishing level skirting is at one line
