layout plan approval copy

hello all
i am planning to build a second floor on my existing ground floor house
my site is 60 X 30, while existing built up area is 30 X 25
can someone enlighten me on specif documents needed for plan approval
i specifically heard about layout plan approval copy from a loan agent, and i dont have it
can we get it from BDA?the layout was formed way back in the 70s
