Information on Property Tax Payment

Hi,

Any idea what is the procedure for paying property tax first time.
I have been paying property tax for my vacant land till 2008-09. This year I have completed construction and have moved in from June, 09.

Should I pay tax for the constructed house in this year (2009-10). If yes, what is the general procedure. Should I get some one from BBMP to get it assessed?
From this year onwards, we can pay it online and it allows category change (vacant land to house) also. But I am not sure whether I should get it assessed by someone as it is the first time and of course there are some violations in setbacks also.

Hi,

Every year, I used to get a letter indicating the property tax to be paid. But for this year, I have not got any letter. Is some process changed or something. How do I now pay the property tax.
