Construction material prices
Re: Construction material prices
Got Indus 500 steel @ 50K per ton on Sat.
Burma teak, I bought cut piece around 3-4 weeks ago, at 3300 per cft. This was from a shop where my contractor recommended. Others quote lower, but was told that they give ghana team instead of burma,. Since I am not an expert in teak, I went with the place where my contractor/carpenter always buy.

Re: Construction material prices
Hi Chandu,
I got KKB bricks and it is very good quality, each brick is exact rectangle shape and exact size, wall construction worker also mentioned brick is very good as they were finding difficult to cut in half whenever they needed half or quarter size brick while constructing wall.
My site is in Kanakapura road, hence I think brick vendor shd not have any problem providing service to you (uttharahalli)
Prasanna - 9900125454
Please ask for a sample, soak it in water for 24 hrs and check whether it is still holding it's shape or disintegrating. Also drop it on the floor from 1 to 2 ft, it shd not break on first attempt after being in water for 24 hrs.
Everytime a new load comes to your site ensure you are there to take count. Usually brick load comes in 407 truck and they mention it is 3500 bricks but in reality it will be only 3100 to 3250 bricks

Thanks for the info .
What is the rate you pay ?
how can I keep the count - when they lay it down should I count each time - or is there any easy way ?
