My suggestion,

Please don't think of removing the tree. Removing a tree is not a logical solution.
Work out for a better solution for the Sanitary Issue.

Removing a Tree is just 1 days job. But growing a tree is 20 + years job.
No way, we can replace the valuable benefits of a tree. Once you loose it,
you never get it back.

I completely agree with msn1270. I have seen so many old and beautiful trees cut mercilessly in front of showrooms on 100ft road Indiranagar and other places just to make way for parking or for the showroom to be more visible (E.g., Copper chimney, Salarpuria Mayfair, Woodlands showroom etc etc). And without trees these building look in very poor taste. So, many trees are already lost due to the stupid road widening projects. I think all of us must do our part to preserve the little left greenery.

I agreee with MSN and Sriram. Don't even think of cutting the tree for this reason. Once removed you can't get it back for another 20-30 years. the calmness in your neighborhood will automatically be vanished and invite more dust, heat and pollution. think of pros and cons of removing the tree. If you spend little bit more money you will have solution that provides both tree and your sanitary system.

recently our neighbor axed a jack fruit tree which was 35 years old and they still had spend lot of money on cutting and erpairing the sanitary lines.
