What is carpenter charges for frames?

Carpenter For frames (Doors) is charging 18 Rs Per Sqft, and for windows frames charging 30 Rs per Sqft including the grews. Is this right charge or over prices? .

Door frames should cost between Rs. 15-20 /sqft. So Rs. 18 is a good price.
Window frames should cost between Rs. 25-30/sqft. Maybe you can bargain a little.

it was 22 rs when i did 2 months back, now rates may be different. I got it done by timber depo itself as he himself identified the carpenter which i am not aware who has done that . Since there is no design like arch type and all i haven't much bothered,but if you are planning to have design frames then it is better to have one carpenter through out so that he can understand your design requirements from start.

I usually use the help of carpenters at timber yards. They charge anything between Rs. 100-150/sft for complete doors. Since you had asked specific rates for frames I gave them to you. If you go to the timber yard where you purchased the wood they will recommend carpenters.

recently i got it done by my carpenter and work is still in progress

rs15 for dorr frames
rs 30 for window frames
rs 60 for whindow shutters plain + final fitting + and also beeding for window frames
rs 90 for french whindow shutters + final fitting
flush door fixing rs 600 + per door
main door and pooja door rs 100 + depending on the design

In Timber yard for Red salI I have a got a quote of Rs 1050 /cft +10% vat + 70 /cft for planing . Is this reasonable rate ?

Rs. 1050/cft is a good rate for Sal. But what are you using it for? Frames? Please do not use it for door or window shutters.
