Hi,
Can someone tell me the approximate cost in per sft of the wood windows of 5"*3" thick Sal/Honne shutter wood.
1. for burma teak windows including the security rods and the glass, shutters etc?
2. With Salwood frame and Honne shutters/glass+security rods.

It will be helpful to choose the b/w UPVC and various wood combination based on the cost.

My contractor is quoting 750/sft and the upvc is coming to 650-675/psft including grill and installation. Please help.

Finally I have decided to go in for LG Hausys UPVC Windows. The manufacturing is located in Bommasandra Industrial Area. The raw materials are imported directly from Korea and they offer 10 years warranty on their products. [Rehau now offers only 5 year warranty for Home systems].
Pros:
Why LG? All hardware components right from screws are imported from LG Korea, competitive pricing (Cheaper than Fenseta, and better finish).
Cons:
Currently available only in White color.

Hi JollyRogers
Can you share the final prices you are getting for LG windows. I understand it may not be a standard price per window and depends on window size and type. But can you give me an idea of how much it costs per SFT for sliding, fixed and casement windows.

Hi Jolly,
I have been trying to contact the LG rep (His name is Diwakar) from past 2-3 weeks and that guy is very unprofessional. He promised me to visit my house for measurement and quotation but never turned up. Do you have any other contact? What is the price you are getting>
Thanks!

The price of the windows depends on the window size. The bigger the window, the cheaper the price. I am using Casement windows (16) and 2 fixed windows. (Rest wooden).
The average price comes to around Rs.550 per sq.ft including installation charges. Sliding windows will be even cheaper (should cost around 500 or lesser). Fixed windows should cost you around 400 including installation or lesser.
You can contact Mr.Vinayaka at 9686114365. Just refer my name (Mohan Gowda), and you will get prompt service and best pricing.
(In case you have a huge requirement, I can connect you with the MD directly for the best pricing. Just PM me)
