Since I am going to have a bedroom + walk in dress area next to bathroom, this would work perfectly for me.

I lived in US for 6 years and have seen such open closets in several houses. How I miss Ikea here in Bangalore!

are you talking about the Elfa closets. They are available in a few stores in Bengaluru - I got mine from Howard Storage World at Mantri Mall. I think they have HSW in other malls as well - so you could go with one that is nearest to you. It the idea from my stay in US also, I am so used it, that I thought it was a big blessing when my architect suggested the store for me to check out.

35 inch floor to counter top ..he was saying 11/2 inches for laying granite

18 inches(1.6feet) is enough between base cabinet to wall cabinet or 2 feet?

2day wall plasterin is finished n have to design the cabinets for kitchen n i have few doubts
im planin to use hetich auto closin n pullout hinges and medium range ebco baskets for cabinet
should i need to buy the baskets n hinges first n later according to that i have to design the cabinets ..which is better way ?

and also how countertop granite slabs r placed ?

1. yes you have to factor in the 1 1/2" for the granite (counter top) in the total height. The standards provide the height in reference to finished products (at least in this case).
2. You should check out the standard size of the pullouts and baskets, so that your carpenter can build to that size. There are some places that will make custom size baskets, pullouts etc., but I tried to avoid that for a couple of reasons - one price is high and secondly, if it breaks or rusts for whatever reason we need to replace, then it becomes a problem. Short answer you don't need to buy them before hand. My carpenter built the whole thing and then I picked what goes where (like plate basket, pull out etc.). For your corner, make sure they know what goes in - lazy suzan carousel or plain shelves, so they can build appropriately.
3. placing of granite on the cabinets, happens, once the cabinets are completed and fit into place. It is a hard task, make sure you have a lot of helping hands at that time - because the slab is heavy and also it takes a lot of juggling and pushing to get it in it right alignment.
4. 18" is fine for gap between base and wall cabinets, it won't be in your way - since the wall cabinets will have smaller depth, so it will not be in your face when you are at the counter.

im planin to give labour work for carpenter work wat r the rates persqft for modular kitchen and wardrobes ?

any 1 used this product LG HI MACS: Acrylic Solid Surface. ?

and also planin to have led strip lights for undercabinets ..any info on this ?
