Hi,
I have seen few houses have their front compound wall constructed using Red Stones. I think these are Red Chappadi stones neatly cut into cube shapes. Any idea how much they cost including the work for pasting/plastering them on to the wall and which shops in bangalore sell such stones?

Hi Akash
If possible upload an image ,there are various stones in red colors - jaisalmer stone, laterite stones (mangalore stone), mica stone (more copper shade), terracotta tiles, unless you are specific about your question its no surprise that members didn't answer your queries

Re: Red Stone Compound
I have seen laterite stone walls Bangalore but those are stone bricks and not pasted/plastered on the walls.

Hi Praveen,
I am not sure but attaching this image. The stone color is like the same in the image but the size is like that of a foundation stone.
I think it could be unpolished Red Granite Also. Any ideas on what is the cost of using such a stone for a compound wall?

Re: Red Stone Compound
Hi ,
These are not granites, they are slate or sand stones sold in bundles in many shops on bannerghatta road ( Marble road ).I didn't really check with latest price but it works very cheap around 20 - 25 per sft for stone alone.

Re: Red Stone Compound
I think they are the cladding stones. You can not simply construct the wall using those stones, you need to first build the wall with the normal brick and then use them for the cladding.
