What are the actual techinical difference between these brands and why so much variation. Considering all are FE500. My contractor states TATA is too costly, so we ended up with Prime Gold.

Since it is a contract, I am not involved in price negotiation. My contractor buys based on need and does not stock up(which is good for me, since the steel is always new and does not rust up). On casual inquiry he mentioned 49k per ton.
