Hi All,
Today i have inquired about the APCO block 6" e grade and landing cost at site works to be Rs 39 per block
(including of VAT +deliver charges + discounts) and waiting period is 7 days.
If we go for Local blocks 6" (rough finishing) its landing cost is Rs 25 (inclusive of every thing)
Local guys assures that he can give ACPO block finishing and strength, i haven't tried it.
Which is better one ? any catch experts have ?

Re: Go for APCO blocks or Local blocks
Recently I noticed a construction project in 9th Block jayanagar
using what looked like Aerocon Blocks. When I enquired with the
owner it turned out to be concrete blocks from "Besant Batons".
The finish was much better compared to APCO. He was paying
Rs.44 for the 6" blocks. Owner said he went for the "Batons"
ones after he found that the popular brand concrete blocks
are often produced by the local frachises and the quality is not
what it used to be.

Go with Apco irrespective of strength. The water aboservation of the block will be less than 20%( kindly get waterabsorvation ttest report from the manufacture). it pay videl role in bonding strength which is equally important as compressive stregth ot thr masonaryy.
