Not sure where the sand is from for my last load, but the sand is one of the best load I have receieved since the last 8 months which is fine sand perfect for plastering. (Even finer than Trichy sand).
I get it from a material supplier to BIOCON, and he usually operates from Chandapura.

Hi Praveen,

Thanks so much for posting the prices of a comprehensive list of building materials in an Excel sheet here on the forum. I see that the last updated prices are from Jan 2012. Would you kindly take the time and effort to update the Excel sheet with recent prices. I am also working on it and making it more comprehensive. We can then tally our lists and merge them. It is much better than having prices thrown around on posts and PMs.

Even better would be if the administrators of this site develop a display board of sorts where latest prices of building materials can be displayed like some sites where we can see latest prices of stocks/etc. Here is an example http://www.baisoutherncentre.com/market-info.aspx However, this is only a partial list and does not reflect Bangalore prices. I wouldn't know the technical aspect of it but I'm sure the techies here can contribute.

Maybe we can also start listing the best dealers with their contact information for the respective building materials too.

Thanks,
Deborshi

I believe it is pretty good. My Er suggested it and I'm using it for my construction. Lot others opt for Zuari too. I believe Coramandel/Zuari/Ramco/JK/ACC all are good. These brands are in the same price range and Birla/Ultratech are the only brands that are priced higher than these (10-15 Rs more). Economy brands would be Priya/Parashakthi/Bawani and most of the builders use these. My preference would be the first two categories.

i have seen the color difference in Birla and Ramco, and Ramco look so white and Birla looks dark though both are OPC 53 differnce. When i enquired Ramco do have Ash mix ,and cement should be darker in color and majority of structural and architects are suggesting Birla if own construction ,and for second sale do suggest second category. Major difference because of this is curing time nothing else, as Birla cures faster and others cures in lesser rate which is not suited for bangalore climate
