Hi Experts,
I wanted to know whether Plywood Flush doors are strong enough for Mainddors? are they durable and strong ? Please suggest me to go forward.
My architecture is saying lets go for Plywood flush doors with teak veneer sheet on it, is this good?
If not please suggest alternative.
Thanks and Regards,

Suggestion on Door
Re: Suggestion on Door
My brother has used it in his house. It has been almost 3 years and its holding good Regarding security, he anyway has an additional security door and hence not too much worried about it.
Re: Suggestion on Door
I am also planning doors for my house. I have seen these doors with single shutter in most of the shops. Can we get double shutter doors in this? Like if i want to use it for pooja room, I need a double shutter door??
Re: Suggestion on Door
Checking if anyone here has thought about steel doors or better, using it currently
I was thinking of teak wood for main door as it will look good, but then for security purpose i will end up having one more steel door over it, hence effort and money spent on looks will be waste. Then i thought about Plywood Flush doors with some good finish but again i will need to have the steel door over it, so i realised why not have one steel door with wood finish, when i searched on net i found following links, however not seem them in person, hence checking same here

Re: Suggestion on Door
Steel doors can be strong and I have seen some very good looking ones. Only issue is - depending on which side your door faces, it could heat up quite a bit when sun shines on it. Our existing home we have a door and afternoon sun is on it, before the trees in front provided some shade, the door knobs and doors used to get so hot, that if I tried to hold the knob I could almost burn my hands.
The other issue with it getting hot, is it can warp to some extent from constant changes in temperature.
But also check out the door - it could be thin layers of steel with a core inside, if that is the case, then safety may not be that high. If it is a solid steel door, then it could get heavy.

Re: Suggestion on Door
Hi i
I enquired on steel doors and he saying it wont get any heat as they used to put fibre on the top of the doors for design purpose based on our design selection . Local made doors are cost you 9000 Rs (3.5*7) without frames which we need to make on wood. It is secured and resistance to all conditions as well but not cheaper as door on Sal wood doors.
Regards
Sam
