Dear members,
We have received couple of warnings from major email servers like yahoo that our users are marking the email digests as spam mails.
This is in direct violation of anti spamming policies of our service providers and also against our websites principles.
There are couple of members who have dropped a mail to admin@mybdasites.com asking us about the option to change the daily mode
to weekly or none. We have thoroughly followed up with them and helped them to change their digest modes. Also, every mail
has a footer note explaining that the digest mail options can be changed in User Control Panel. But looks like some of our members
have chosen to mark the mails as spam so that they wont receive the mails into their in-boxes. This is not good for the web site
and also the anti spam actions will restrict other operations of our web site.
In view of the above developments, we have decided to give the option of choosing the email digest mode in the registration form
for new user registrations. So, going forward, any new user trying to register will be able to choose the Digest mail mode in the
registration form itself. He/She can always change the options in UCP (User Control Panel). Also, the default digest mail mode is set to 'Weekly'.
This option of choosing email digest mode in the registration form may take some time as we are still fixing minor bugs in the code.
Once this feature is activated, we'll announce it in the forum.
For the existing users, we are planning to un-subscribe the email digest for users who have opted for 'Daily' mode and send a separate mail informing the same.
We'll provide the options to change the digest options in the mail and also will provide all the support they need in doing so. We'll take up this un-subscribing existing email digest, tomorrow. Individual mails will be received from admin mail account. Please reply to that mail for any assistance you may need.
Hope you understand our limitations and restrictions. Thank you all for your support and encouragement so far for www.mybdasites.com
Best Regards,
-Admin Team
Urgent: Email digests from mybdasites.com marked as 'Spam'
Re: Urgent: Email digests from mybdasites.com marked as 'Spa
Hello Admin,
I loved the daily digest. It was so informative for a greenhorn like me. I would like to keep my daily digest mode on so that i would be updated everyday. Please do not make that into weekly for me.
Thanks & Regards,
lionheart

Hi lionheart,
Yes. Infact, we have received so many mails from other members that daily digest is very useful for them.
But in this case, we are helpless. So, we have already un-subscribed the users whose digest mode is set to 'Daily'.
Yet, you can still change the mode and set your own preference, in this case, back to daily mode.
Please change in below path:
Once you login, User Control Panel -> Digests -> Basics -> Type of digest wanted.
You can select 'None', 'Daily', 'Weekly', 'Monthly'.
The reason why we have decided to do mass un-subscribe is that when the Mail digest feature is activated in this forum, we have left the default configuration of 'Daily' mode for all the registered users and new users. Only a couple of users(2 as far as I can remember) complained that they dont want the daily mails. So, we have helped them in changing the mode to Weekly and None. But looks like there are so many people who dont want to fill in their in-boxes with daily digests. We need to respect their preferences. Have they dropped a mail to us, we would have taken care. But they choose to mark the mails as 'Spam'. So, we were left with no other choice than to un-subscribe and provide the procedure so that only interested members can register for daily mode.
We can't afford to have our web-server in the blacklisted data bases. That will affect the site availability.
As suggested, please enable the daily digest in the above mentioned path. And remember, we are always a mail drop away for your support. Do reach us at admin@mybdasites.com for any assistance or support.

not sure what your mail is conveying. If you are welcoming someone, I guess this topic was the wrong one. In future, please post in the right threads.
