Hi Jag,

I have a basic method by which you can select a contractor, shortlist a few houses in your surrounding or a few houses which is close to your idea of home and enquire with that particular house owners about the contact details about the contractor and how their overall experience was with him. You will surely get some leads and information about contractors and their work. Only hard work here will be - looking for good houses and initial speak with the owners. Trust me this will help a lot in later stages.

Thanks,
Prakash...

I am in the process of getting my house constructed and I can recommend my contractor Krishna. I am happy with the way he is executing it and overall quality. You are welcome to come and see. You can contact him at 99003 22578 and get a quote.

I will also suggest you to hire an architect for good design and elevation. You can look at some of the built houses for some idea. But you can not copy it as is. There are so many factors that will affect your overall elevation and facade.

One doubt I have with regards to checking the house owners nearby. Is it NOT better to check with the owners of houses that are more than 3 years old. In the experience I saw that there will be no issues during the first 3 years. If the construction is bad then the problems start appearing after 3 years. If it is good then the issues might appear after 7-10 years.

Thanks
Ram
