building Plan sanction approval

Hi,

I am planning to construct my house in aecs layout, B, block, Singhasandra, near kudlu gate on hosur road.
Can anyone please guide me as to what BBMP office should I approach for plan approval ?

I am also in the process of getting my plan done by the architect. Typically the contractors have contacts on how to get it approved. My friends have advised that its better to go through the contractor's contacts.

I would also like to hear from experienced forum members on the correct procedure.

its perfectly fine to go with the contractor if you are ok to pay the premium he asks for it...but make sure that your personal details are correctly entered in the documents..I meant details like your name/address spelt correctly etc...otherwise its going to be a pain to correct them later as this approval will be the base for many things like your cauvery/bescom connection etc...
