What does a load of Sand or Stone Aggregate mean?

Hello All,

Can any one throw light on what it means to say a LOAD of Sand, Jelly, etc. Any quantification possible?

Madhu, as far as my exp goes, there is no defined measure for these loads.
For Jelly, we got to negotiate on the price per cft. Then when the lorry comes and unloads jelly, we got to measure the inner volume of lorry and pay accordingly.
For Sand, I dono any way of measuring it.. Anyone has any insight on this ? ?
