Hi Keerthi,

Thanks for your view. Now I'm planning to go with ground floor, depending on the expenses I will decide to go with first floor.

HI Pradeep
Don't go for excavation in cft base with labour contractor.Just see around in your place and you will find mud workers .Dealing with them is easy and cheaper.

I have finalized to go with G+1, thanks for your view.

yesterday I have completed earth work. earth work included with labour contract (20K).

1. Earth filling will be from my side. What will be rough charge for earth filling.

2. What will be price difference b/w soild block & red bricks. (In percentage)

Thanks,

Hi Pradeep,

Here are earth filling rates a friend of mine got from his contractor:

Refilling excavated earth in foundation trenches, footings in plinth, behind retaining walls, under floor or ramps: Rs 5 / CFT
Refilling of Earth brought from outside & consolidation: Rs 8 / CFT

I have not verified this with other sources

1. Normally when you don't hire a JCB, the earth fills do not cost you much. I went for a manual excavation & did not pay a thing beyond the CFT charge for excavation.
2. There is a huge difference between the cement solid bricks & the conventional clay bricks. Google yourselves & you will find a huge potential difference. Cement bricks will stand out as an advantage only in terms of cost & absolutely nothing beyond this.
