Need river sand dealer contact

Hello Friends,
The dealer who was supplying river sand @50~55 Rs/cft during the last 8 months is now quoting Rs 70/cft and is telling that the prices may further rise in few days(for reason best known to him).

Can anyone share the contact of any river sand dealer/s who is little more reasonable?

P.S.: I can go to their lorry stand and check if its river and filter sand.

From what I have seen, the sand rate varies across different parts of the city. (In Kanakapura I saw vendors quoting 40 Rs per cft , In Chandapura they quote 50 Rs per cft for Sand from Trichy. Rates as of yesterday)
From what I have myself heard, the prices of sand gets higher during monsoons, but I myself am not sure if the prices will shoot this high.
Which area are you located?

I have also heard about the price rise during monsoon because of the difficulty in getting the boat deep enough in river to extract sand but was not too sure.
I am located in Ramamurthy Nagar, near KR Puram.

Usually I visit lorry stand near hebbal,Nice road. Are there any other better places to find river sand?

Chetanl - I heard there is a one in KR puram itself (towards hoskote, I guess). My neighbour is getting if from there and the river sand is from AP. Price - ~25-26K for 5 1/2 units (10 wheeler)

Please beware of the sand from AP. The price is tempting though & believe me...it is always a filter sand. My 2 initial loads were from AP & then I stopped it totally. TN ones are good & cheaper too..compared to the ones from Karnataka.

@Palmut: I had used the AP sand earlier, but had found lot of soil content like filter sand in it...

Once I had got two loads of Harihara river sand from a guy near Nice road after myself checking it. And had called him after a week to get another load, but this time the guy got a load which was a mix of filter and river sand. Hence I am always worried to book sand without myself physically checking it.
