Wood Purchasing

Hi ,

I am in the process of buying wood for my house which is under construction .Could any of you share your experiences when wood was bought for your projects .I had been to several saw mills as well as timber dealers in and around mysore road to get an idea .All of them has a different story to tell and am confused totally.Could you please let me know on what to check while finalising the dealer .

Yes.....I understand the situation. Now with the dollar price on the high, wood has become even more expensive. If the requirement is large enough....suggest you go for a log rather than a pre-cut wood. This will help you have the same grains all over your quantity purchased. In case you go for pre-cut, all the pieces will be of different colours & patterns on the grains.

Decide the type of wood that you intend to purchase & then various finer details can be worked out.
