Does any one have pointers to reliable timber merchants in Bangalore?

There is Royal Timbers in Hebbal area (near the agriculture college). I can try to find the contact info. I purchased teak from them and both the carpenters who came for the work said the wood was very good quality.

Hi blrsiteseeker,

Did you buy a log and then got it cut to your requirements ? I heard there
will be some wastages but it is unavoidable. I don't know whether somebody
can buy teak just according to the measured lengths ..

no, I bought it per the measured lengths. In fact, my architect gave the drawing and the timber merchant cut pretty close to the measurements. The carpenter had to just cut a little and make all the groves/fittings to put the doors together. There was a little extra which I used for mirror frames etc. I still have some left and am thinking of how to use them. but the wastage is not that much.
