I did exceed by 100sq ft as per their calculations, because it is not a square shaped building. the rule says 500sq mt which is 5380 sq ft but they are saying that the rule is 5000 sq ft. it is a simple two house, with less than 8kw power requirements. a major blunder my...

Re: BESCOM and BWSSB fees for new buildings
If your constructed area is above 500 sq mt , irrespective of your load, they force you to go for a transformer. It is a night mare and extremely extremely depressing experience. Re: L Shape Corner window Glass price
Glass doesn't cost much, compared to the wood. If you can go for 5mm glass, it would be good enough. Since the pieces of glass in a wooden window are small, you gain a lot of efficiency. Plain non tinted glass will be around 3k max

Re: Your thoughts on the Floor Plan
My suggestions, based on a similar house that I have seen First floor. Stairs and lift are in the center of the house, causing a narrow passage. If there are senior citizens at home, going through the narrower passage is a little pain, especially if you have railings around it. They fear falling dow...

Re: Roof concrete screed with waterproofing
Couple of options You can go with earthen tiles.. they keep roof cool and absorb moisture too..cost about 15rs per tile per sft, 15 to 20rs for laying..plus cement, msand, labour and waterproofing liquid costs.. You can also go with anti skid parking tiles.. about 30 per sft avg Or plain cement one,...
