Re: Interior Wood Works - Material Choice & Pricing.
hi,
I got a quote of Rs 500/sqft for pannelling , I agreed for that now I find that very high as if I want to cover 5 * 5 = 25 sq ft that would cost me 12500/- for 6 mm ply + laminate.
Let me know if you have done such panneling work .

Re: metal + wooden staris nightmare..
hi Praveen, Thanks for your quick reply. Initially I thought of 25 mm rubber wood on the top and 12/15 mm rubber wood at the bottom and sides to wrap the stairs. And PU coat the entire to get natural wood finish. Gap between the thread to have 4 inches, is that child friendly. though each step would...

Re: Home interior work advice
there is a saying... watermelon falls on knife or knife falls on watermelon , its the watermelon thats going to get hit. Same with carpenters.. either ways endusers are going to get hit. My experience is that if you are not going for exotic finishes like veneer/polish stuff better to go with factori...

main door dilemma
HI all,
Does the main door need to be solid hard teak wood only, can it have just the sides ( chatta) solid and the middle part can be made of plywood/tubular core which gives better finishes and trim as there is no solid wood which can shrink and expand over period of time.
