Hi All,
My foundation work is getting completed wherein the size stone masonry is being built. Here I would like to know if we need to lay the pipes of toiletry or electrical ducting or anything else which would help in the future not to break any structure.

Toilet pipes during foundation
Re: Toilet pipes during foundation
Yes, it is better to get the pipes laid else the plumber has to dig and the structure can impact become unstable. Usually if the contractor is Material contractor he will ensure more efficiency in doing those thing. There is lot more wastage, 40MM aggregate, cement, sand and labour will be extra.

Thanks Venky
I just checked with my engineer and he was of the opinion that since the structure is based on columns and plinth beams, the entire load bearing stress would be on these, and any work in the future would have least impact on structural integrity on the foundation. Also he was mentioning that in case the toilet arrangement changes due to one or the other reason, this would have to be done again.

Your Engineer is correct. Even for load bearing structures small openings is fine. Besides your idea of exact location of WC, Sink and Shower would change as you get towards end of structure.
So just go with what everybody is doing now.

Toilet pipes are done as last thing, depending on where you want to construct bath room and toilet location. Since sewage pipes would require least # of bends, its best to do this later during construction
