Hi Suneel,

Most of water level controller seems to be dumb, try going for industry standard grade for this purpose. It can do lot of things.

Hi niarhab,

* The Locally available model i had came to repair fast, but no one wanted to repair it.
* Some models use cheap electronics like relays which are of not high quality. After certain amount of latch off and on the relays go for toss.
These make lot of noise.
* Some good models uses TRIAC but they are costloier.
* Frequent switching OFF and ON of the pump will spoil the pump.
* I have seen few installations that have caused problems to pump.

Industry standard one I am taking is about PLC grade. You get cheaper one (not sure about the price)
in taiwan "http://www.elkom.com.tw/m/PLC2011A0_PLC2011B0_PLC2011C0_circuits.pdf"

So, what I did now is a semi automatic one, I have connected a Calling bell to level controller, which is muted by a frontier timer in the night,
bells different tune when water goes down. We can still make a little c

The plc which i mentioned above can do many more things like sending sms and upgrading to multiple IO.. see the PDF.

Hope this will be of your help.

Anyone has idea about this Water Level controller i.e. WLC (suggested by my electrician):

http://www.maaruinc.com/sumpto2oht.html

Few other queries:
1. Does the WLC model/voltage rating depend on whether the motor is submersible or not ?
2. If one has two OHTs pumped from two sumps, is it better to go with one WLC to control both ? Or, does having separate ones help ?

thx

I have been using Trust controller. It is quite reliable and comes at an affordable price. The service is also good.

what was the subbrand in maaru that you took naveenramachandra ? They seem to have quite a few. Also, is there any AMC (what maintenance is needed) ?
