As the government had forced shut stone-crushing units on September 3 owing to environment-related concerns, builders in the state have been sourcing gravel from neighbouring states of Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu for gravel. With the recent increase in the price of diesel, the cost of transportation has increased, which means city builders will have to shell more for gravel. For a site measuring 30X40 sq ft, the cost of construction will increase by Rs30,000.
Saw the above in this article. Any of you started facing such issues?

Yes, my Contractor was telling me about the increase in Jelly Prices. However at present, since I have no requirement of Jelly stones, I have not come across it yet.
Also the cost of Steel has come down, so I guess this will offset the increase in prices of Jelly stones.

i took foundation stones at 8.50 Rs per stone ,means one load 1000 at 8500 but all are full cheating as they treat one stone 2 and all count. I inquired many places they are doing like this means we get only around 850 stone ........,Is this same for everybody????
