Hi,
What would be a reasonable charge for granite/vitrified laying if the cement/sand and other laying material is included. My contractor is quoting Rs 55 for vitrified tile and 75 for granite?

Granite @ 75 - all inclusive is not possible, as long as the stone is in its highest rejected order in terms of quality.

Thanks for the reply. The rates i mentioned is excluding the granite and vitrified tiles' cost. I have already purchased them. The rates are for labor, laying material charges (like cement, sand) and finishing (if any)

My contractor is also quoting Rs:55 for laying vitrified. Dont remember it for Granites though

We are just about to begin our tiling work. I have been give a quote of Rs 110 Per Sqft for laying 2 ft x 2 ft vitrified tile. Tile price not included but Labour + the rest of the material included (Cement, sand, white cement etc)). Following is the work listed as part of the price apart from the laying material cost -

Providing and laying to pattern, 10mm Thick Vitrified tile of 600x600mm size, approved shade, pattern with 20-40mm thick cement mortar bed of 1:4 mix including pointing with matching color pigment cement, acid washing and complete

I wanted to check with someone who has recently undertaken tiling work, if this a fair price quoted for the work given that tile is being provided by us.

Thanks very much for a response. I have gone over the quotation quite a few time and Rs 110 per sq. ft. has been quoted for Labour + laying material cost (Sand, Cement, Acid, PoP) (Tile cost is separate)

If you don't mind would it possible to let me know what would be a fair per sq ft. price for laying a vitrified tile for flooring and bath room walls for a total finished job.

I am looking for per sq ft price for Tile Laying that includes -
1. Sand
2. Cement
3. Acid (for acid wash)
4. Plaster of Paris (PoP) (for covering it Tiles until)
5. Labour
6. Filling Grout Cost.
7. Labour for Acid was and for applying PoP
8. Any other cost that may be involved.
