Hi,
Dont' use self made POP designs, which may not tend to bend and the cornice lines may not match. However the malaysian gypsum based cornices bend a little more and the lines after fixed looks more strighter than POP based. Go for malaysian gyspum 8' length cornices.

1. The cornices plain design will look good, and if the quantity is more the price may come down to say Rs. 35.00 per rft.
2. Also the false ceiling work plain should be Rs. 50.00 per sft for larger areas.
you may approach mahesh industries in mysore road for a good work. contact them on mahesh-industries.com

hi,

my guy is charging 55 per sq ft, there is another option where in he uses the better aluminium profiles 60 rs per sq feet.

also the cost of pop may be attractive but then elecrtician asks a bomb.. to do wiring better plan early and tell your contractor to do accordingly as it would need separate wiring .

also the number of lights matter LED good ones cost like 12 watt 1200/- overall cost increases.

Hi Guys
Few things to take care while planning for gypsum ceiling
1.Make sure the channel grid is max 2' spacing is maintained except in special cases
2.Check for the channel quality by gauge and brand
3.Make sure the pop dont drill in the line of concealed wiring line in RCC.Many time the conduits get damage and some times wire get short circuit if the wiring is already done
4.While finalizing the drop ht make sure there is not issues with AC, curtain rods including curtain to ht ,fixing curtain rods in case it needs ceiling support ,loft doors openings etc.
5.If you are planning for drop lights make sure there is a main channel in that location ,you cannot fix them direct on gypsum boards
6.For concealed lights make sure there is not channel in that location other wise electrician finds very difficult and start cut the main channels
7.Joint net tape is must in every joint between gypsum boards
8.In case of cove lighting make sure your lights are not visible
