As far as I know, white portion of teak is the outer layers of the steam of a teak plant. these are usually from young trees. These teak are called second quality teak. It used to be around 1800 per CFT a year ago.

Prime Gold, Meenakshi Steel - Rs.47k
Indus - Rs.51k

The following are the prices for Honne Door Frames at Karnataka State Forest Industries Corporation Limited: (This is including of Labour charges except VAT).
Rs. 4855 for 3' X 6'10" for Bedroom Door Frame (5" x 3")
Rs. 5900 for 3' X 6'10" for Utility Door Frame (5" x 3")
Rs. 3280 for 2'6" X 6'10" for Bath Door Frame (4" x 2'6")

Teak Door:
Rs. 20100 for 5' X 6'10" for Main Door Frame (6" X 3")
Rs. 13175 for 3'6" X 6'10" for Pooja Door Frame (6" X 3")

I find that you can save a lot of money (About 30-40%) by getting the wood work done by KSFIC as their price includes labour cost. It is run by the Govt, and the wood quality is excellent and well seasoned. The only down side is they take about 30-45 days to complete the work. They also have flush doors. (I have purchased wood from a private mill as I did not have the time to wait for 30-45 days due to my contractor asking me to get wood work done ASAP as he plans to start plastering work in the ground floor during the first week of Sept).

KSFIC is located in New Timber Yard Layout, Mysore Road, Bangalore - 26. (Landmark behind Mysore Satellite bus stop). I think this will benifit the rest of the community who plan to start their wood work, or want to get their wood work done in future. You can visit the place and also take quotation (Provided you have the wood dimensions given by your engineer/carpenter). They charge Rs.300 for providing you the quotation for your wood work.

can you clarify whether cost is on frame or door you are talking about?. I thought of calculating but getting the cuft price

Rs. 4855 for 3' X 6'10" for Bedroom Door Frame (5" x 3") = Not sure how to calculate per cubft prices as not getting whether it is frame or door
Rs. 5900 for 3' X 6'10" for Utility Door Frame (5" x 3") = Not sure how to calculate per cubft prices as not getting whether it is frame or door
Rs. 3280 for 2'6" X 6'10" for Bath Door Frame (4" x 2'6") = Not sure how to calculate per cubft prices as not getting whether it is frame or door

Teak Door:
Rs. 20100 for 5' X 6'10" for Main Door Frame (6" X 3") = 20100/14.23 (5' *6' 10" * 5" ) = 1411.236 per Cubft
Rs. 13175 for 3'6" X 6'10" for Pooja Door Frame (6" X 3") = 13175/ (3'6" * 6' 10" * 5") = 1326 Per cubft

If it is under this price teak then it is much cheaper. Can you please see whether this is cubft price they are mentioning?

All the prices mentioned are for Door Frames only.
For example: The size of the frame is 3' width, 6'10" height, and the thickness of the wood is 5" X 3".
These prices are for finished door frames. (Includes labour charges).
