flooring and countertops

My engineer is a 78 year old who did his Masters in IISC long time ago and has been in construction ever since. Even he had not constructed even one building using Rat-trap construction. This is the sorry state of Indian Engineers. Infact the mastri had lot more knowledge about the construction than this engineer of mine.

HAs anyone tried our red oxide flooring and polished concrete flooring? Need urgent help on the same.

I asked for red-oxide flooring (about 3 years back) for my house. but was warned that the chemicals for the red finish are not as good these days and it will chip and start to look ugly very quickly.
