I have a contrary opinion about road hit sites. I do not believe in any superstition or belief, whether the belief is age old, time tested or a new fad. People talk about vaastu is all about light and air. Then why are the road hit sites shunned? You get plenty of sunlight and air in a road hit site. In fact, I went about looking for only road hit sites for my own house. I live in a road hit site.blrsiteseeker wrote: Road hit is definitely not a good idea. Just imagine when traffic in that area gets heavier, your house would be exposed to unnecessary risk of crashes into your it. THat might be the reason, vaastu also says, don't buy a property at the intersection of 3 roads (if it is in the corner of 2 intersecting roads you will be safe, as traffic keeps moving), but with your house on the dead end, there are chances of vehicles not stopping in time and crashing into your property.
The advantages of a road hit site are
1. the sites are available at a discount
2. There is plenty of sunlight and air.
3. Privacy - as there are no houses opposite to one's house (no one is staring from the balcony/terrace).
4. People spend a lot of money on elevation of a house, with the current tendency of constructing on every inch of the land, there is no view where the elevation is visible, only in a road hit site, one can appreciate the elevation of the house.
Accidents are a possibility, statistically, how many road hit houses have been hit by vehicles? I do not remember an instance of a car or a lorry running over and causing injuries for occupants. There are lot many other causes that have a higher probability of injuring others, which we are at peace with than getting hit by a run over vehicle in a road hit site.
Having said all these, I would never buy a road hit site as an investment as it takes years and years to find a rational buyer willing to go against the tide.
