What would be the approximate cost difference between a Pile & normal Footing foundation ?
If both options are fine for the soil conditions & disregarding cost, would Pile be still the best option technically for a 5 floor building on 30X50 plot ?

Hi Sri,
Pile foundations are used for taking more load in loose soils and in conditions where there is no option for having spread footings like bridges , metro train etc.
In residential projects pile foundation is very frequently used in black cotton soil, slushy grounds, low water tables, near to water bodies like lakes /rivers /seas. The cost of pile foundation will be high as you go deeper in to the soil. You get mini pile diggers connected to tractors or you need to go for manual .
In your case of 30x50 site pile foundation is not necessary unless soil conditions demand for it.
