Re: Info on Labour cost.
Hi,
Everyone in the forum are talking about per sft labor cost and negotiations . The most importing things to include in any agreement ( there is no formal agreement in labor contract ) is the items included and more importantly excluded items. Excluded items are never given by any mason since they are the grey areas and they don't wont to loose on those small money ( example plumbing chambers, bund walls, external ramp, water proofing and many more ).
In labor contract its not about money but the responsibility that a mason should take. As a owner its your responsibility to make things clear before allotting the work
By paying 30/- per sft more will be costing only 30,000/- for 1000 sft which is not a big deal in a total budget of 30-40 lac but you should clear specify the responsibilities of mason.
When it comes to coordination between agencies like electrician, plumber, tile layer etc mason will always take back step and shift responsibility on to them unless you fix them in the beginning itself.
You should always talk based on the drawings not hypothetically unless you are not very specific about project out come.

Re: Info on Labour cost.
I'm not sure, I'm constructing G+2 in 30X50 (GF - Independent, FF and SF - Duplex, Total construction area - 3300 sqft) and the quote I have got is 28500 all inclusive for 9'' wall thickness with red bricks.ragalax wrote:snelgi,
actually it depends on work, if the construction area is more (say more than10,000 sft) then people can do it in 250 to 260/- but i feel for a duplex in 25x43 290 to 300/- psft is not that expensive.

Attaching the written quotes with more details for reference.snelgi wrote:I'm not sure, I'm constructing G+2 in 30X50 (GF - Independent, FF and SF - Duplex, Total construction area - 3300 sqft) and the quote I have got is 28500 all inclusive for 9'' wall thickness with red bricks.ragalax wrote:snelgi,
