President, Hebbagodi Residents' Association Sadashiva Reddy says, “People are suffering from skin diseases, headaches, kidney problems. We have all documentary evidence for that.”

Biocon Arun Chandavarkar say, “What we'd like to emphasise is, Biocon is in no way connected to quality of water. Bad smell has been a problem earlier but now, over last two years, we've taken many steps to reduce the odour.

so Bad smell is definitely a problem there

Thats a very valid point RKirana but how to check on this? Will the developer provide any kind of certificate (which can be manipulated) or do we need to get it checked ourselves somehow?
Which all projects are you considering for good/ideal investments? I just came to know about SJ Developers which has a project near Hoskote http://www.sjgroup.co.in
Any idea about it?

Hi Abhinav,

Pullution may be a problem wid upkar meadows. moreover it is very inside from main road. so i feel springfileds at chandapur which is on main road and also way far from bommasandra industrial area will be a much safer bet. also i saw some villa projects here, so iam sure this area around chandapur is far good than bommasandra.

thanks

Hoskote is too far - after whitefield.....Investment purpose only -

No one knows the gestation period - like our Devanahalli investments - just because there is an international airport there won't be development - you need economic activity - especially IT companies to start there - IT employees to start staying there - and an ecosystem of malls and shopping complexes and houses for an area to prospoer

I am not sure about the water contamination in this area. guess asking someone who already stays there or nearby is the only solution. Also going by that logic Upkar Springfields is near to Attibele Industrial Area and if we try going a little further inside from Bommasandra there is Jigani Industrial Area :) . Also I guess ground water problem is there in most areas in bangalore and maybe using a good water purifier is the only solution ??
Since there are so many people on this thread now guess some of you might know people who are actually staying in the area. Maybe you can ask around and get the real picture from them. Please do post here if u get any further information about this. I am sure u will have many people living near Electronic City in ur contacts list. What are your thoughts?
Not much idea about Hoskote. I am still a novice in bangalore real estate :)

Hi friends I continued my search for a good property but finally decided to go with RK Township. As compared to other layouts in the area as this is already having a good number of quality houses and 4-5 apartments which are already half occupied and prices are comparatively less considering Vakil En casa and Upkar meadows. Also there are 3-4 good layouts coming up around this. Over the week i got the ground water tested to verify if there was any signs of pollution as u guys had pointed out. The lab said the water is pretty good and surprisingly it was not even hard water. Also i saw a couple of tankers taking water from here to other places in ORR. So I guess water should not be a problem. Unfortunately i was not able to get a corner plot because i was told all corner plots in the range 1200-1500 have been sold out long ago. Hopefully I have made the right decision. I am thankful to you guys for all your valuable advice and help especially to abhinay and rkirana :)
