Granite buying

Hi all,

I am looking for granite and in a granite factory on magadi road, I have finalized
the slab I would like to go for after seeing sample full slab.
He has the unpolished slabs of the same block and he is asking 25% of tofal
value as advance to process remaining slabs and
give it. Remaining amount on delivery.
As you know, getting natural stone without unwanted lines or marks is difficult.
Hence I am planning to go for this block.

Is 25% payment ok as advance?
If I pay him that, what are the precautions I need to take?
