You can get the carcass done with carpenter and shutters in factory.factory made shutters alone cost 800/- per Sft if I am not wrong.
Carpenter charges are ranging from 200/- to 250/- per Sft depending up on the workmanship and details you ask for.
Get all the details in carpentry cost ,otherwise they start adding this is extra and that is extra .mainly in kitchen fixing baskets, making small ledges or Pannels also charged @250/- per Sft but in actuals Pannels cost is much lesser than box rates.
One important thing with carpenters is that you find surprises when it comes to finishes because they do in their own stereo type design details which u may or may not like .designer is required if you are looking for exclusive designs or costomized solutions.
For sure you cannot replace designers and expect the same design detail out put from carpenters of any kind .
Make a clear material list and add 20% extra to arrive at your end price.

Hi Nag
In general these branded / professional factory guys don't take up job works from individuals .You need to contact any shutter vendors who supply full shutter. To deal with factory guy directly is not possible unless you have enough load of work for them.Generally these freelance factories are not every where in Bangalore. Most factories you see don't take up out side work. They do only full jobs.

Mr. Praveen,
I had been to this Beth factory (just behid Sri Sri Ravi Shankar Ashram) thru one of their agent, thier products on display was good.
I think they work thru these agents only, means agent will make the designs for the kitchen with their "ready made" modules
with diffent sizes, ofcourse agents (middle men) will make their profits too.

I don't think the Beth factory people will do design for you, instead thru their agents.
I talk to the factory guys, they will take up even small jobs, means they will supply the "ready made" modules as much you want
based on your design/agents design.

My interior work/purchase experience

- Have used Niki commercial ply/board (bought from Niki dealers near Jayadeva flyover) for all areas except kitchen. They offered 10% discount on the MRP.
- Have bought Green ply Gold (BWP) for Kitchen from Green Trading distributor in BTM 2nd stage for around 110 Rs/SFT
- Have bought the greenlam laminates (off white) for Rs 750/sheet of size 8x4 for inside of the wardrobes.
- Kitchen cabinet exterior laminates Greenlam techno steel for Rs 1500 /sheet of size 8x4 .
- For exterior of wardrobes, bought Green Decowood veneers. Greenlam veneers start from 80 Rs/SFT for basic designs. Many dealers tried to sell at List price itself. Finally I bought from a greenlam distributor near Mysore road Staellite bus stand as he offered the best discount compared to other greenlam dealers. The discount is 35% from their list price. (Smoked oak ridgecut @ 395/SFT , mix n match schoka lava @ 245/SFT list price ) This is inclusive of everything.
- Hinges/drawer runners , bought a mix of ebco and blum/hafele from Kilari road. For ebco, the discount was around 25% and for blum/hefele, it was between 30-35% as the blum/hefele have the highest list price. For kitchen corner, bought hefele S corner and that was the most expensive with a list price of around 35K.

- Carpenter rates for box type wardrobes Rs 230/SFT and for frame type, it is 115/SFT.

hi,

thats the best deal, you have got, but then the onus is on the carpenter to do fine job.
I'm over fix as to select factory made wardrobes(1050 sq/ft) and kitchen (1250/sq ft) greenlan/archidply he said its 97 sq/ft . OR for carpenter who will charge 850 sq/ft generally on carpenters are not ready to take orders on per sq/ft .

But the advantage of the factory made is edge binding.. also the headache of the carpenter is avoided.. like dirting the whole house.

Any one has done interiors with lifelong marathahalli.
