When some one replies to your post or you mark as " notify me" a topic that you are interested in.

Right now there is an option call subscribe topic on the left bottom of every topic sheets , this is a kind of notification.You can subscribe for individual topic or sub form of any number.This send you a notification for any reply on the topics you are interested.We are also working to add RSS feeds .

Today, we have enabled 'user notification on reply' feature for new users. So, whenver you reply to any post, you'll automatically get a notification mail if there is any reply on that particular topic. You can turn on/off this by changing the setting to 'No' in 'User Control Panel -> Borad Preferences -> Edit Posting defaults -> Notify me upon replies by default'.
Existing users can also turn on this 'Notification mail on reply to post' by checking the above path.
