Hello Friends,
I feel that , of late, the infrastructure development is very slow in South Bangalore . I can see East / North bangalore having many apartments and other projects coming up these days. Do you guys also feel the same? Is the govt concentrating more on North/East Bangalore ? Areas like Kammanahallai/Hebbal/Yeshvatnhpur are getting better day by day, I feel. But places like Jaya/JP Nagar/E-City / Bannerghatta are more or less very dull as far as RE is concerned. HP/Philips/Siemens are some major companies which recently moved to North/East Bangalore . Also roads/flyovers/underpasses are getting better in this area. Are any companies newly coming into E-City in near future ? But many new companies are moving to Bagmane/Manyatha tech parks.
Any comments/opinions in this topic?

Is South Banagalore development dull now?
Re: Is South Banagalore development dull now?
Hi J,
Here are some of my opinions.
1) Growing apartment number is definitely not an indicator of Growth of north/east Bangalore. If you survey the electronic city, sarjapur road, 1000s of flats are unoccupied or facing poor quality construction problems like cracks in the walls.
2) Quality of life, surrounding environment, Cauvery water supply, good interior roads and well BDA planned layouts in the key factor in South bangalore which is far far better than North/east bangalore.
3) Majority of the Southern bangaloreans are locals or basically from Karnataka. They're not habituated to Apartment styled Artificial life.
4) Other than few areas if HBR, HRBR, Kasturinagar, some parts of Banaswadi, rest of the areas are basically from old revenue lands and doesn't have proper sanitary facility, drinking water, proper planned wide roads, and in many areas there is an excess presence of Churches/Mosques for every 1/2 Kms, which is definitely not liked by certain class.
5) Because of the accessing location to Whitefield and Few newly established Job creating centres in the north/east like manyata Tech park, Kirloskar Tech Park, of which many employeed would like to stay in the jobcentred locations. so many outsiders are staying and growing in these areas.
6) Even in the South Bangalore, Development and increasing number of MNC's in the Global Village, Automobile park in mysore road(Toyota Park),small and medium scale companies in and around Ring road are in attractive numbers and developments are much visible.
7) South Bangalore has very good number of prestigious Educational institutions and healthcare fecilities which is more attractive reasons for south bangaloreans.
8) Airport is not at all an attractive point for the local/karnataka people, as it is not an earning/living standard for them.(you must know why the airports are placed distant from the living areas across the world). But its contradictory in the current indian context. Just to earn their big pie, Real estate Players/Agents are highlighting Airport as a major point.
hope this is sufficient for you.
