As per the forum rules price info is mandatory otherwise admin will delete your add, please try to understand that it will help both seller and buyer, if your expected price is not something matching with buyer then no need of a call at all.

Dear Site Admin and Members,

To clarify my stand about not quoting any price in the above sale, please note these points;

1. Many members just want to know the price without any intent to buy a site. Have observed this right from when this was MSN group.

2. And the seller is derided as to how stupid he is to quote such price, blah..., and really its not worth so much and such comments.

3. Have received quite some good calls for some members who really wanted to visit the site and then discuss the price. This is the very intention of taking this approach. Will be very happy to talk to such persons.

4. There were specifically two members who already seemed to have sites or were just calling up for the heck of it. One guy said that he will complain to the administrators and get the post removed. Sad to see a state where somebody wanted to not involve a middleman and sell directly and has to hear a non-entity talk.

Admin may remove the post if they feel that the post does not match the standards of the forum.

Sudheer - Your complaints do not make much sense

1) This is correct. People want to know information and that is why they come to this forum. If you had posted your price in your ad here, nobody would have pestered you in the first place.

2) Once again people can voice their opinion in the forum. It is one of the reasons why a forum is created. If the tone is disrespectful, you can bring it to the attention of admin

3) Okay but that still doesn't explain your reluctance to post the price.

4) Once again, if you had been upfront about the price you wouldn't have faced this unpleasantness.

All said and done, you have the right to ask whatever price you want. If you can find a buyer, it is great. Real estate prices, as with other commodities, is market driven.

Thought I would post this message with two facts:
a) I spoke to Sudheer a couple of days back. While he was kind enough to give me some basic info, he did not want to give me the asking price. He advised me - 'pl call up a couple of brokers in the area and let me know what you hear'.

b) For all his posturing about not sharing price info, visit his ad posting in Sulekha.com:

He has quoted a price of 2500/- per sft.

Thank you highlighting the importance of quote in the said posting.

And thanks to TNP who enthusiastically called and googled Sulekha to find quote.

To put things to rest let me reiterate that I believe its best to check the site details before just calling up for the heck of it. I still stick by it.

Never the less to keep the decorum of the forum which quite some have been enthusiastically following since MSN groups, have quoted the price in the posting.

Wish there is no deriding, its not worth so much, etc etc, comments.

Hope this clarifies all.

Last but not the least, I want to sell the site (Not a fire sale for sure) and have not posted to just find the market value.
