Wall mounted :
+ Looks nice. Easier to clean floor. No holes in floor tiles.
- Limited weight carrying capacity , expensive.
You can find models and prices online (Cera, Hindware, Jaquar, Parry etc).
eg:
Armada squarish

How about wall-hung external commodes versus concealed ? I have a rental unit where I thought I'll go with wall-hung (easy maintenance)
but don't want to invest in a concealed tank (abt 8k for gerberit). Wanted wall-hung external but when I went to one jaquar dealer there
were no items on dispaly ! The shop guy says it is 'out of fashion' and gave some cons with it (something about you'll have to replace the
whole unit if there's an issue etc - was unclear).
Basically, for something like a rental unit, what's the best wall-hung option (brand as well)....thanks

I bought Parryware Flair from Build mart. You also get the Indus and Cardiff models.

Nagzz,
Do you recomment Buildmart at yeshwanthpur. Do you see any price advantage when compared to other shops?

I did not go for the concealed tank (that is what makes them expensive). I preferred the tank type and we got Kohler wall hung with tank (it takes up a little more room), but looks neat and is easy to clean the floor like someone said. It was no more expensive than the floor mounted ones>

Flair was about 10k i guess. buildmart has good discounts. I had checked with couple of other vendors before finalizing on build mart. Indus is the cheapest of the three,

Quick query on the wall hung ewc. Do we need to create a ledge wall to install it. I currently have a 9in outer wall.

If it is a 9 inch wall, there is no need to create a ledge wall. It can be drilled and concealed and finished up.
