Thanks, I heard from the suppliers the prices of Steel is higher due to Power problems. (Dunno how true). Yesterday they quoted 48k for Prime Gold/Meenakshi steel and 54k for Indus.

20 mm Jelly costs 20 Rs per cft, Cement Blocks 22 Rs. per block.

BREAKING NEWS !!

Cement prices hiked by 10 to 12rs/ bag. all PPC hiked by 10 & OPC (birla super) by 12. Reason - ?????? Railways increases the frieght price. Estimated cost/ bag birla super @ 400 in next 2 months......appreciate comments.

even the dealer from whom i was buying have incr birla to 325..earlier he was giving 315

Steel - ISI standard at 53.5....expected to go to 58/ KG shortly.
Not sure on the impact of china planning to dump steel in India.

Cement Bags ACC (PPC) - Rs.305, (last week it was Rs.295.)

I heard the prices for Cement and Steel is already up since Budget. Can anyone post the current market rates please? (Various brands if possible), Thanks in advance.

Friends....12th Mar...I posted steel @ 58. It is now 58. Not sure of the state budjet would have any bearing on further price escalation.

The dealer from where I buy steel has a storage capacity of close to 1000T. Imagine with this kind of a increase in price rise, he would make a cool profit of over 1C overnight.

Birla super now at 342.

I am told that the prices will cool down during monsoon.
