Yes Sam, looks like this is industry standard in Bangalore. I had the same issue when I got foundation stones.

700 cft Plastering Sand: Rs.40,000. Looks like sand prices are going high again...

I bought Birla super 53 for 350 Rs two weeks back now its around 355 Rs. Finally I got it for 353 Rs 70 Bags.
Anyone bought Birla super 53 recently?

bought river sand 430cft ashok leyland 6 wheeler for rs20k per load it is madur sand

2day i bought birla super 53 retail price per bag is rs360 and for 50 bags n above rs 345 per bag

i have enquired steel prices in two places 1 quotin is rs46.5k per ton (excluding transportation) and other is quating rs47.5k per ton (including transportation) for chamundi steel isi brands

is ther any online website wher can get the updated steel prices ?

Yes till last friday i took birla at 345 but now they are asking for 350 saying all cement prices have increased by 5 RS. I enquired Ramco dealers ,that also they increased from 320 to 325, there also increase of 5 Rs. Sand prices also increased as they are asking 1500 Rs more, foundation stone increased from 8 Rs to 8.50 now as he told i am selling at 9 but giving because i need more load around 4 so agree for 8.50. Everything is increasing .......no clue why?. My Mason saying all the labour charges will also change after Dasara ,as dasara is time they do revise the rates. All building newly my contractor constructing are charging at 230 Rs..... almost 20 to 30 Rs more per Sq.Ft

Along with this cheating 40mm/20mm jelly they cheat in measurements, in sand they mix and measure wrongly, payya stone in numbers they cheat, steel they cheat you in weight so by that as well we are losing money . We cannot check every load, and monitor/go fighting .

Ask your mason to hire, whose revision is on the lower side. This is prescisely the reason why the contracts are made on paper. The contracts also do specify the period of validity of the prices quoted.

Raw materials - this was expected. Every one is greedy. When the prices were are on the lower side, there was hardly any construction happenning. Inspite of the increase in prices, the construction boom is unprecedented.

ther are lot of chances to get cheated by sand dealers

3months back i bought first two loads 430cft or less from a sand dealer refered by engineer for rs 26 n 26k per load and later mestri suggested we can go to stand n get same sand for lesser price and in stand bought 3 loads for 20k per load n called the same guy again after diesel price hike he was asking 22k and again last sunday went to stand n bought for rs20k per load medium sand lil stones n always check the sand by exp person like mestri before buying it and most importantly the measurement n

20mm jelly increased from rs24 to rs25 per cft

6inches cement block is rs26 per block n 4 inches is rs21

i heard that centring charges have increased though my mestri is giving for rs20 per sqft

Yes Sand for me as well they used to give for 20 K now asking for 22K to 23K but latter did the same you have done. I have ordered one my masory knows which they gave 20K but not so good ones with 10 wheeler ones. It has medium silt,and sand color was different in top and bottom. Since i am using for foundation my masory told it is OK ,but during roof/plastering we need go for better ones. This is problem when we go for low rate they will mix the sand and give you .

for me as well labor he is not changing the rate as we agreed before, but any new construction he is agreeing for 230 which is almost increase of 20 to 30 Rs .He stated barbenders/masons/centering all are asking more now, those who stated /agreed on contract may not have issue, but new construction will have impact with labor/material shooting up suddenly in the name of diesel prices increase.

20k for 10 wheeler lorry ...sounds good ...did u take mesurement of the lorry or u know approximate measurement ?

Yes i know, but now he saying next time he needs 22K or 23K which he will tell when i calls him in another 2 weeks. As diesel prices increase everybody is asking for 2000 to 3000 Rs more as from AP they need to come...... Lorry measurement would around 530 will come but when measured it was (21.5*3.5*7.5 = 564), but it was not that much as there bottom plate was above .Roughly 530 to 550 would be there as haven't gone for argument as everytime it ends up like this. Assume as BANGALORE STANDARD....

i think u should take the inner measurement (after unloading ) then u get exact measurement ...even 530cft is worth i guess
