guys i have probs in choosing steel i asked few shops they have all isi brands like vvs ,thermax, black cebra or cobra , chamundi, bmm,n something which starts with S n so on all r ISI steel ...last time bought chamundi so this time not able to get that ..now they have other brands n they r suggesting to go with that coz even that is also isi n same price

is it ok to go with any ISI brand or the above mentioned isi brand names ? price wise all r same 47K TO 48K perton

Please use only 500 grade. 99% of the 415 grade is re-rolled.

engineer had designed for fe415 grade so had to go for that however before i had researched on it only few main players like tata sail vizag few others those people can guarantee the quality of the steel ie 500 grade

i have been to few shops in around in city mostly near my site ....most of the shops have floated with isi brands which is rerolled fe415 with that they have tata tiscon fe500 grade so we dont have much options here ...max people buy which ever ISI brand they have in the shop ...so almost 10k difference between other isi brands(local)n tata tiscon

almost all the steel dealers claim 1 common thing that we will not cheat on weighing scale....i dont know how far its true coz all have digital scale now a days ....so by any chance do u guys got ever doubt or got cheated with weighing scale?

BMM is 500 grade...correct me if i am wrong.
Not sure if the design too is based on Fe grading.

Happy to know that the steel prices are coming down. As far cement prices are concerned, inspite of imposing penalty on the manufacturers, the prices haven't inched down a bit.

@m3_07 ...deisgn is based on fe415 grade n bmm is 500 grade ...i went to buy 12mm n 8mm tmt rods n the dealer had bmm12mm rod n chamundi 8mm ..even dealer tried to convince me to go for 500 grade so i enquired with the engineer he told me to go with bmm 500 grade bcos iwe r using for plinth beams (foundation bed) n for colums fe415 grade only....thats y i bought bmm ....always have tough time in chossing steel brands coz the dealer always push us to go for the availability of stock so we hav to oreder 1or 2 days before.
