Quote from APCO Solid blocks

Post by sun »

Hi,

I got the quote from APCO people for solid blocks, attached for your info. Do suggest if there are any alternatives for APCO. The cost is on higher side after 3% discount from these guys.

Thank you

As for as i am concerned APCO runs with Brand name only. You can contact some local Block vendors and negoitate the price and get fixed. 6" block will be 26 to 27 rs and 4" block will be 22 to 23 rs. While negoiating tell the vendor that you will send the blocks for Compression testing and depanding on the results only you will place the order.

@ORR near Belendar bridge there is a company called Civil aid they will charge Rs 400 for compression testing. Pay it and check the quality.
Next things is These block will not bear any load and its just a partition so paying this much money is no use.

@munikrsn

Grade E is non-load bearing blocks with 3.5mps strength.
Grade C is load bearing with 5mps strength.

If you are constructing column less building Grade C is needed. For all column based buildings, grade E is good enough.
