I have just bought a 3BHK apartment and planning for woodwork.
Planning to hire a carpenter and supply the material for the woodwork.
can anybody please let me know what is the prevailing labor rate for wood work in bangalore considering wardrobes and kitchen cabinets in Plywood.
This will help me a lot in fixing my budget and planning the amount of work.

Rs. 350/- per day

Kindly provide the labor rates in per sft basis. I think this is the common practice.

Carpenter rate for interiors will range between 130 to 180/- per sft depending up on efficiency, reliability, design understandability, finishing quality,type of work(box,panel......etc)
When ever you go for labour contract in interiors check for all these rates.Since its not just wardrobes they do.
Work type - common name
1.Wardrobe - box works
2.lofts - frame works
3.Laminate - Inside laminate
4.wall panels- paneling
5.Kitchen - kitchen boxes
6.Mirror fixing - paneling ................etc

Before you get in to check every thing clear, in general many people think of saving a lot with labour contract ,if you are not careful they charge every small thing extras and end up losing 30% to 40% of savings .
