I am new to the site. I recently started constructing house. We are at point to decide between Wood vs UPVC. I went through several blogs/sites on this and still couldn't make up my mind. My Architect is pushing for uPVC since it is less headache and can be cheaper too.
Anyone has tried Wood colored UPVC windows? I looked at wood colored UPVC windows from : http://madhuindustries.com. In the process of getting quote from them.
I am looking at following info for Wood colored UPVC windows
1. Does the color last long? Vendor is saying there will be discolor but it will discolor uniformly and might happen after 8-10 years.
2. Price difference between wood colored and regular white one? As per the vendor, wood colored finish will cost 80% more.

Thx
Ravi

Hi Mr Ravi,
*You just ask them some ref site where they did the wood finish - completed 1 or 2 yrs back so that you can get idea how it'll look.
*Coming to price, its a huge. better to go with natural wood itself.

Mani

Thanks Mani for the reply. I will definitely ask them that.
In fact, I am trying to get a quote with wood from my contractor too.
